Phantom Liberty Walkthrough Part 1: Entering Dogtown

Part 1 of our complete Phantom Liberty walkthrough covers the expansion’s opening act: answering the mysterious call, crossing into Dogtown, and surviving the two encounters that set the story in motion.

Starting the expansion

Phantom Liberty triggers after the main-game quest Transmission. The call comes through on your holo — answer it when you are ready. Recommended level is 30+, and you should bring your best cyberware; Dogtown does not scale gently.

The stadium infiltration

The route into the stadium has two viable approaches. The maintenance tunnels (left of the main gate) are the stealth path: one camera, two guards, done. The frontal route triggers a scripted firefight that costs more ammo than it is worth.

Boss: the Chimera

The Chimera is the expansion’s first skill check. Phase one: stay behind cover on the upper walkway and shoot the exposed cores. Phase two: when it deploys drones, kill the drones first — their repair beams out-heal your damage. The arena’s explosive canisters are one-time burst windows; save them for the final 25%.

Choices that matter (no spoilers)

• Your response during the rooftop conversation locks a tone for the rest of the act — it is not flagged as important, but it is.
• The first major branching decision comes at the end of this act. Both routes are fully covered in Part 2.
